Concierge CME planning — we map exactly what you need for renewal, so nothing is left to guesswork.

If you hold a Michigan registered professional nurse license, the Board of Nursing (under LARA) requires 25 contact hours of continuing education every two-year renewal cycle. Of those, at least 2 hours must cover implicit bias and at least 2 hours must cover pain and symptom management. Michigan also requires a separate one-time human trafficking training. Below is the full breakdown of what you need, what counts, and when it is due.

Pain management (2 hours)

At least two of the 25 hours must cover pain and symptom management.

Human trafficking (one-time)

A separate one-time training on identifying victims of human trafficking.

Licensed in more than one state?

Nurse Licensure Compact: active. Active. One multistate RN/LPN license from the home state authorizes practice in member states; practice-state requirements (including CE) may still overlay.

Each state license carries its own CME requirement and renewal date — if you hold more than one, you need a plan for each.
